SSG/APAIT Staff Present Research at CHIPTS HIV Next Generation Conference
Our team was proud to participate in the CHIPTS HIV Next Generation Conference, which brings together emerging researchers, practitioners, and community partners committed to advancing HIV prevention, treatment, and policy.
SSG/APAIT staff presented two posters through the Transgender Health/Housing/HIV Equity (T.H3.E.) Project, highlighting critical opportunities to strengthen both research infrastructure and community engagement.
Morgan Clark, MA examined the operational challenges created by fragmented, funder-specific data portals and emphasized the need for more integrated reporting systems to reduce staff burden, improve data quality, and better support vulnerable communities.
Abrahán (a.b.) Monzón, MS and Paolo Gutierrez, BA presented on community co-designed study protocols that center culturally affirming practices. Their work demonstrates how research grounded in lived experience can improve recruitment, retention, and trust — ultimately leading to stronger outcomes.
We are incredibly proud of our staff for contributing thought leadership that supports the next generation of HIV research and service delivery.
Thank you to CHIPTS for convening partners who share a vision of ending the HIV epidemic through collaboration and innovation.
